OUT OF COURT
Negotiations with the Commissioner of Police's counsel and other parties (including banks, Commissioner of Inland Revenue, and other security holders)
Criminal Proceeds 'triage' - we assess the status of a proceeding and whether we can assist to improve your current position; this service is used mostly by clients who need legal aid (but want private counsel to provide a second opinion) or clients who are considering terminating ('firing') their current legal team.
Litigation public relations, including social media advocacy
Referral for social and mental health support - we have relationships with social workers in the North Island in particular
Assistance with Oranga Tamariki matters/plans that may be affected by the loss of family property
Assistance with examinations under the CPRA
Shadow advisory (when client already has a barrister) - Jessica is often trusted implicitly by proceeds clients, and even if she is not acting as counsel in a case, some clients will want her to know about their case and the steps they are taking. Depending on work/time required, we may choose not to charge for this.
Security concerns - we work with private detectives and other persons in the security and protection space.
