Compulsory examinations under section 107 of the criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009
The important stuff:
- Section 107
- Yes, we can assist you with your order for examination wherever you are in New Zealand.
- We can attend your examination and sit beside you.
- The examination is compulsory.
- The examination is audio-visually recorded.
- A transcript is produced after your examination recording everything the Investigator said, everything you said, and everything your attending lawyer said; for this reason, you should not attend examinations with lawyers who are not proceeds of crime specialists.
- We take examinations very seriously, more so than other lawyers, and we have strategic reasons for this:
- We have a strict preparatory routine for all clients ordered to attend an examination, including a pre-exam advisory meeting.
- You will be expected to do some 'homework' as part of your preparation and remain compliant with our process.
- We have helpful 'resources/worksheets' for clients who are at 'high risk' during an examination:
- The feedback we consistently receive about our helpful 'worksheets' is brilliant. For this reason, we guard our worksheets and preparation routine with a client's bulldog, and we ask all examination clients to not share these resources with others - you have paid thousands of dollars for our help, they have not.
- We have a fixed fee scale for basic to complex examinations starting at NZ$5,000 + GST.
